- Graduate of the UP College of Medicine (Class of 1995); Board-certified pulmonologist, intensivist, internist, and sleep-medicine physician with Residency at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Fellowship subspecialty training at New York University; also holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the George Washington University’s School of Business and AI in Healthcare certification from Harvard’s TH Chan School of Public Health.
- USA Veteran Administration physician leader serving as Rocky Mountain Network Lead Physician in Health Informatics, with prior academic appointments at the University of Missouri and UCSF-Fresno, including service as Chief of Medicine at VA Central California.
- Nationally experienced Tele-ICU/eICU clinician and VA TeleCritical Care pioneer since 2007, contributing to the launch of the VA’s first system-wide TeleICU in 2011; published journal articles in lung cancer, gene therapy, sleep apnea, and Tort reform.
- With extensive expertise in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, Health Informatics, and Telecritical Care, I can help Convivencia advance its vision of dignified, healthy, and independent aging for Filipino seniors by providing clinical and strategic guidance in designing accessible, high-quality healthcare services for both independent and assisted-living residents; integrating telehealth and remote-monitoring capabilities; and developing evidence-based programs for chronic medical problems prevalent in the ageing population, and complex-care coordination. My experience in leading VA health systems, pioneering Tele-ICU services, and applying healthcare administration and AI innovation can support a sustainable, internationally informed model of senior living—one that preserves Filipino warmth, community, autonomy, and shared ownership while making healthcare more responsive and accessible for residents at home and abroad.
